On a Roll

Well not only did she love all the comments left under her post and at the shop but she sold her first item! So off she went to play in the studio again. 

The first photo is of Ashely wearing the dangler she made on a long chain. She wouldn't let me 

photograph all of her wearing it because she didn't do her hair! What a princess  =P

Embellishments by Ashely

My beautiful daughter Ashely who has just turned 15 has decided to join her mom in the shop and now has her own section called Embellishments by Ashely.

She has designed her own line of embellishments that will be sold in bundles as shown in this photo.

She has created handmade buttons covered in printed antiqued French dictionary paper and then sewn

onto this pretty button card.

These are handmade flowers with organza centers antiqued and ready to use on your projects

These are danglers she has designed. I drag her to antique shops every chance I get and she buys antique 

and sometimes not so antique jewelry that she goes home and dismantles. She then mixes and matches all of her finds and attaches them to a chain. She also makes the pretty charms. The one in the photo is made with Graphic 45 Ladies diary paper and an antique style letter A stamped inside.

I love her style!

This is a cute little spool of hand crinkled and dyed seam binding that she attached using one of those cute little mini clothespins. Adorable!

New Mini Album Started

Just a peek at the mini I am working on this week. I wasn't sure about this paper when I first saw it but after seeing so many layouts and albums with it I gave in and bought the 8 x 8 pad.

Once again Graphic 45 has turned even my picky tastes around. 

This is just the cover but I thought it looked so pretty I had to share it. 

The paper does it all for you. So easy to work with it practically jumps off the page

and makes itself  =)

Sept Give Away!

Scrap Page

This poor wedding photo was in a beautiful frame until one night it fell from the mantel and shattered.

The frame was in pieces and the photograph scratched and pitted. 

I decided after years of sitting in a box it was time to make it beautiful again.

No matter how many ways I photograph it you just cant see all the detail work I put into this.

I bought a frame just for it so now it gets to go back up on the mantel where it belongs.

It only took me 13 years! 

 I have decided its time to spruce up some wall photos and make a wall of art.

My walls will be so happy when I am finished with all of these =)

Off for a few days

I have to work to support my paper habit so I will be afk for a few days but I leave you with my newest card creation. I am trying to make these until my shipment from Pink Paislee arrives in Oct with the new City Sidewalks line so I can start on my very special new book...So excited!!!

New Card Pouch

I made another gift pouch for the shop =) 

This one uses a lot of Basic Grey card stock and embellishments plus some of my favorite vintage pieces.
